This information gives brief but useful information of laboratory tests that constitute the laboratory investigation that you have undergne.It serves to educate and guide you to a better understanding of the tests.
The followings points should be noted while reading this:
01.Not all tests mentioned herein will appear in the laboratory report.Depending on your health condition and medical history, your doctor will decide on the tests most suitable for you
02. Majority (about 95%) of normal person's test results will be within the normal range . About 5% of them may have some test results that tend to be slightly above or below the normal range.
03. In a normal person the values of test results will fluctuate from time to time within the normal range. This is quite common as diet and other factors influence many tests
04. Do not assume your own health conditions based on your test results . o keep in mind that laboratory tests are interpreted in the context of other tests and clinical symptoms, as well as personal and family medical histories. Abnormal test results must be correlated with your medical history and clinical findings of your doctor.Thus a cooperative, mutually respectful relationship with your doctor is of utmost importance in sound healthcare decision making

WHAT IS THE NORMAL REFERENCE RANGE

The reference ranges of the laboratory tests are determined by calculating averages and ranges from different samples of the population assume to be in good health. These reference ranges should serve-somewhat-as a guide to what is considered as good health for your particular blood investigation
